Cylinders provide oxygen to the ambulatory patient and serve as a backup to the concentrator.  Saint John's has added liquid oxygen to its inventory of respiratory care products. Saint John's Medical Supplies is a retailer of the Helios System, the smallest, lightest, longest-lasting portable oxygen system available.  At 3.6 pounds filled, and 10 inches tall, the Helios portable unit is light enough to be worn as a belt or shoulder bag.  No cumbersome tubes, heavy canisters or bulky batteries are required. The system is extremely economical.  On a setting of 2, the unit provides oxygen for up to 8-10 hours.  In addition, the Helios System does not emit excess heat or noise during use.
